A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Microsoft Jet Database Engine (Jet). The vulnerability is due to an error in the way Microsoft JET Database Engine improperly handles objects in memory while parsing specially crafted Excel files. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by enticing a victim to open a specially crafted file.
